From Captain Glen's wife:

Dearest friends...thank you so much for your out-pouring of love, prayers and support. Your kindness has been both comforting and overwhelming. I have learned that it isn't until we go through these things that we learn the depth of our feelings for each other and it is this part that is overwhelming.

Glen fought a long and courageous battle against Early On-Set Alzheimer's disease and he fought till his last breath. As I've told some of you, I'm relieved that he has been reunited with all that he had lost at the grips of this horrific disease.

Alzheimer's can no longer hurt him. He is whole again and he is at peace. I couldn't ask for more for him.

Many have asked about funeral arrangements. At this point I can share the following information. Arrangements have been made, except for the date. As recommended, I am waiting until his ashes are returned to us to set a date. Due to the holidays and office closures it may be after the first of the year. To accommodate people who cannot get off of work, there will be visitation the night before at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The next morning visitation will be at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral from 9:00am until 10:30am. At 10:30am a secular service will take place until a funeral mass at 11:00am. I will post the date as soon as I have one.

Thank you again for all of your warm words, love and support. They mean so much.

Always,
Stephanie
